About Panos

- I have been a Greek School Teacher in London for 8 years. Apart from teaching, I also support new teachers in my school to integrate and offer them guidance to ensure that the best practice is applied.

- I have taught a range of year groups from Year 1 to preparing GCSE students for their exams.

- I work in a Primary School during the week where I have taught in Upper Key Stage 2. I receive regular training there which I apply to all of my teaching.

- I have explored various textbooks that I use depending on my student's level and have created resources of my own as I identify specific needs of students.

About the lesson

In my lessons, I like to identify the strengths and weaknesses of my student and build on that to let them grow. I use textbooks and adapt them through the use of extra resources such as games, interactive activities and worksheets to meet their needs.

My lessons include retrieval warm-ups recapping previous content. Through retrieval, they can remember more and learn more!

I like to make use of digital platforms and softwares for revision of vocabulary and elements of grammar which has proven to work very efficiently with my students so far both in terms of understanding the content but also making it more engaging.

Depending on the needs of the student and their free time, I can offer homework activities for them to keep touch with the language even after our lessons!
