About Jazmin
I am currently a special education teacher working in an inclusion setting. I have been teaching for 8 years in a public school. I have taught over 200 students throughout my career. Thanks to my modifications and accommodations for teaching children with disabilities I have made it possible for children with severe learning issues, to get into top high schools and become successful working on their grade level. One of my students who has Autism went on to high school and one of her essay writings was published Nationally in a contest that she one 2nd place in the Nation.

My teaching method is to understand that, everyone learns differently and it is very important to differentiate instruction so that you meet the needs of all students in your class. I base my classroom on student directed. If my students are the ones that are formulating the environment of the classroom than they will be more eager to learn and more easily engaged. The teacher is to act as a facilitator and the lessons are student driven.
