About Amanda

From the age of three, I have been enthralled by the world of music - it was and continues to be my safe space. Without any formal musical training, I was able to operatically sing musical theater, such as Phantom of the Opera, by the age of five, and only continued to develop my vocal skills from there. At a young age, I started a band, began writing my own music, and performed when possible. Although I did not pursue music professionally, I did go on to become a teacher, and have been working with children and teens of all ages and from all walks of life for the past decade. I'm also a world traveler, an ancient historian, and an entrepreneur. As an entrepreneur, I once had a private vocal coaching business. I have also had my own tutoring business. I worked as a vocal instructor with the Canada Music Academy in my early 20's. Suddenly in 2020, I was discovered by a record label on Soundcloud, Smule, and IG, where I had been recording and posting song covers and my own music. I signed my first-ever record deal in 2021 and have been singing and songwriting professionally ever since, under my official artist name, "Mandy Rose". Since then, I have also been performing covers in local pubs on a regular basis. As a licensed educator, I have extensive knowledge and experience working with all age groups, including adults, in a variety of settings and subject matter. Whether in the classroom, tutoring individually, or vocal coaching, I have done it all and I'm extremely enthusiastic about helping others towards their goals and dreams. I'm capable of adjusting lessons to suit the various needs of my student(s) with ease. Lastly, I am reliable, friendly, and dedicated. I can't wait to work with you!

About the lesson

I am a historian and teacher, providing vocal and general music lessons to students of every age over the past decade, as well as tutoring other humanities-based subjects (English, history, social studies, religious studies, geography, philosophy, and the arts). Teaching is my passion because I love connecting with other people and guiding them towards their goals and dreams in any way I can. My lessons are for everybody, regardless of age and qualifications. Whether you are a child who likes to sing, an accomplished musical theater graduate, or a middle-aged person discovering something new about yourself, I am happy to help you reach your goals, or even hone a new hobby. I only offer lessons online, as my living space is not ideal for in-studio lessons as of yet, but I have been teaching music virtually for a long time and have made exceptional memories with past students. My first lesson is always free, to give us a chance to get to know each other and test the waters :) My lessons are adaptive, as I allow my students to have some autonomy in guiding our progress and steps. The most important thing is that my students are happy and comfortable, and I create a safe space for you to learn and be yourself. :)
