About Sarina
Hello! My name is Sarina and I am a teacher candidate at York University and Tutor here to help you reach your academic goals and build confidence.
I'm passionate about education and helping students build confidence through practice.
I have experience tutoring and mentoring students with a variety of learning exceptionalities, learning styles, and through various grades.
I mainly focus on elementary students (K-8) but am open to help with any other subjects or grade levels, just reach out to me and I can let you know if i'd be a good fit!

As an elementary English, literacy, and reading tutor, my methodology is based on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs and learning styles.
I begin by assessing the student's current proficiency and identifying areas they may be struggling in and potential obstacles.
I then use a targeted approach to face difficult content head on using realistic examples and text to further support the student's learning.
My aim is to not only foster academic improvement but also build students confidence in their abilities.
