About Oras
Currently, I am a PhD student (writing up process) at Electrical and Electronic Engineering/ Newcastle University where I am working defects engineering in multicrystalline silicon using multi-scale modelling within Emerging Technologies and Materials Group.
I have good experience in teaching and supervising labs and graduation projects. I started my career as a teaching engineer at AL-Nahreen University /College of engineering/Laser Dept. 2001 to 2003, where I worked as Lab demonstrator at electronics, digital electronics, circuit design, principle laser, laser applications, laser physics and optics. Then worked as a lecturer (2005-2013) in the Collage of Electrical and Electronic Techniques. Now, I worded as a lab demonstrator beside my writing my thesis. Furthermore, I'm an associated fellow of the higher-education academy, 2016, recognising reference (PR106912).
I have experience of successful team management due to my work as teaching engineer, sale engineer, lecturer, lab demonstrator, as well as researcher, which developed my time management skills and were reflected on my successful publications and my performance in other positions such as School rep for PhD research students and Event coordinator of ARC 2016 conference in the school of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Newcastle University, which need strong time obligation and tasks prioritising. In addition, I currently act as IEEE Student committee member and Local Arrangements Co-Chair in the international conference for students on applied engineering Oct 2016, Newcastle university, UK. Based on the above information.
