About Fradreika

My name is Fradreika Wilson. I am thirty-six years old ESL Teacher and Freelance Photographer. I am currently enrolled in a Master’s program in TESOL at Cornerstone University. I obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix majoring in Health Administration. I have over 13 years of hospital experience in pharmacy and trained many students, interns, volunteers, Pharmacist, and Technicians. I have over 3 years of tutoring children ages 5-8 at local libraries assisting with the summer reading programs. I also tutor my own children (ages 3 and 6) with sentence structure, Writing, Reading, and Math. Becoming an ESL teacher has been truly a rewarding experience. I’ve been an Online ESL teacher for 9 months. I enjoy teaching English because it is a Universal language and part of my culture. I want to share my skills to enhance others. My class would be full of energy, comfort, and fun. My goal is making sure everyone enjoys learning English.

About the lesson

I am an educator because I want to make a positive impact on the world. I want to be a blessing to students so they can grow up and share the same energy. “Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you,” Matthew 5:42.

I know how valuable teacher encouragement and motivation is for a student. I intend to stimulate students while teaching them to be optimistic during challenges. As an ESL Teacher, I encourage students to cherish their language and culture, while developing an appreciation for English. I enjoy teaching English because it is a Universal language and part of my culture. I want to share my skills to enhance others.

Additionally, I strive to prepare my students for impeccable Conversational English as well as help them develop the skills they need for writing and reading as an adult. I believe it is also important to help the students develop their social and interaction skills. I also want to create a classroom that is a safe learning environment for all. Students’ progress is based on safety and comfort. It is imperative that my students know that they are welcomed no matter their background or history.
Learning is a process that requires motivation, effort, and persistence through many hurdles. I am here to aid students through those hurdles. Yet my students will develop independence and courage to face the learning difficulties of English as their second language. I will always provide positive reinforcement to build the confidence.
