About Brandon
I am a motivated and experienced violin tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience, mainly working with college students. I believe every student can improve with the right guidance, structure, and encouragement. My goal is to help students grow into confident and disciplined violin players. My teaching style focuses on creativity, mentorship, and critical thinking. I guide students carefully through posture, bow control, finger placement, rhythm accuracy, and tone quality. I also help students understand musical expression so they can play with confidence and feeling. I use innovative teaching methods such as slow practice techniques, guided listening, structured practice schedules, and recording feedback. These methods help students practice efficiently and clearly understand their progress. I also teach basic music theory and sight-reading in a simple and practical way. Accountability is an important part of my lessons. I help students set weekly goals, stay consistent with practice, and track improvement. I provide honest and encouraging feedback to keep students motivated. Along with violin, I can also teach rhythm training, ear training, and performance preparation. My teaching approach for violin is calm, clear, and result-oriented. I focus on building strong fundamentals while helping students enjoy the learning process. Lessons are planned based on the student’s level and goals.
Creativity is encouraged through expressive exercises, musical exploration, and creative practice ideas. This helps students stay interested and motivated.
As a mentor and critical thinker, I explain violin techniques in a simple and logical way. I guide students through posture, bow control, finger placement, intonation, and tone quality. Students learn to listen carefully and improve independently.
Accountability is built through structured practice plans and clear weekly goals. I regularly track progress and provide helpful feedback.
Along with violin, I also teach music theory basics, rhythm training, ear training, sight-reading, and performance preparation. My goal is to help students become confident, disciplined, and expressive violin players.
