About Thandeka

Hello! I’m Thandeka, a TEFL-certified English tutor and native English speaker from South Africa. I’m passionate about helping students improve their English in a comfortable, supportive and encouraging environment.

I believe that learning English should be practical, enjoyable and focused on your individual goals. Whether you are a beginner learning the basics, an adult looking to improve your conversation skills, or a professional who wants to communicate more confidently in English, I will tailor our lessons to your needs.

My teaching style is patient, friendly and student-centred. I encourage students to speak as much as possible while providing clear explanations, useful corrections and positive feedback. I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes because mistakes are an important part of learning.

In our lessons, we can work on conversational English, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, business English and everyday communication. I especially enjoy helping students who understand English but feel nervous or lack confidence when speaking.

About the lesson

My lessons can include conversational English, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, everyday communication and business English. I adapt each lesson to the student's level, goals, interests and learning style rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

In a typical lesson, we begin with a friendly conversation or warm-up, followed by focused practice and activities designed around your goals. You will have plenty of opportunities to speak, receive clear and encouraging feedback, and learn useful expressions that you can apply in real-life situations.

My lessons are especially suitable for beginners, adults, shy learners and students who understand English but lack confidence when speaking. Whether you want to improve your everyday communication, prepare for professional situations or simply become more comfortable speaking English, I will support you step by step in a patient and encouraging environment.

I teach in English and aim to make every lesson practical, enjoyable and focused on helping you communicate with greater confidence.
