About Olivia

Hi! I’m Liv, a TEFL-certified English tutor and final-year law student based in the UK.

I’ve always been passionate about communication and helping others express themselves clearly. Studying law has strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas in a simple and structured way, and I bring that same approach into my English lessons.

I decided to teach English because I genuinely enjoy helping people build confidence in themselves. I know from my own experience learning Russian that speaking a new language can feel intimidating at first, but with the right support, it becomes much more natural and rewarding.

Alongside my studies, I volunteer at a homeless shelter, which has given me valuable experience working with people from different backgrounds and building strong, respectful communication skills. This has shaped my teaching style, making it patient, supportive, and focused on each individual student.

As a tutor, I aim to create a professional but relaxed learning environment where you feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and improving at your own pace.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is simple: build confidence first, then accuracy.

I focus on creating a relaxed and supportive environment where you feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes, and improving naturally. My lessons are very interactive and tailored to your goals, whether that’s improving everyday conversation, preparing for exams, or building confidence in speaking.

In my classes, I use a mix of:

Guided conversation practice to improve fluency
Clear, simple explanations of grammar
Vocabulary building through real-life topics
Pronunciation support to help you sound more natural

Lessons are typically 50–60 minutes, giving you enough time to practise speaking while still covering key areas of improvement.

I am a TEFL-certified tutor, trained to teach English as a foreign language, and I design lessons that are structured but flexible, so you can see clear progress over time.

My lessons are ideal for:

Beginners and intermediate learners
Students who feel nervous about speaking
