About Nokwanda

Hi! I am a passionate, qualified English tutor dedicated to helping primary school students and beginners build strong foundational language skills. Over the past two years, I have successfully helped learners gain confidence in reading, writing, and speaking English by making learning an enjoyable and stress-free experience.

I hold a National Diploma in Public Relations Management and a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification. My background in Public Relations has given me excellent communication, active listening, and relationship-building skills. I know how to connect with people from all walks of life, break down complex ideas into simple terms, and adapt my communication style to suit a child’s imagination or a beginner's pace.

Teaching is more than just a job to me; it is an opportunity to empower others. I understand that learning a new language or keeping up with schoolwork can be challenging, which is why I bring patience, enthusiasm, and encouragement to every single lesson. I look forward to working with you (or your child) and celebrating every milestone along the way!

About the lesson

Teaching Methodology: Interactive, Patient, and Goal-Oriented English Lessons

My lessons are designed to be engaging, patient, and highly interactive, tailored specifically to the needs of primary school learners and absolute beginners. Because learning a new language can feel overwhelming, I create a warm, supportive, and stress-free environment where mistakes are welcomed as a natural part of growth.

How I Structure My Lessons:
• Fun Warm-Up (5–10 mins): We start with a quick, interactive game or conversation starter to build confidence and get comfortable speaking.
• Core Vocabulary & Grammar (20 mins): Using colourful visual aids, flashcards, and simple examples, I introduce the day's topic in an easy-to-understand way.
• Active Practice (20 mins): Students apply what they learned through reading aloud, role-playing everyday scenarios, or engaging in tailored language exercises.
• Wrap-Up & Review (5–10 mins): A positive recap of what we achieved and a celebratory high-five for their hard work.

My Teaching Tools and Style:
With a National Diploma in Public Relations Management and a TEFL certificate, I combine professional communication strategies with proven language-teaching methods. I use props, reward systems, and storytelling to keep younger learners focused and excited. For adult beginners, I focus heavily on practical conversational English that you can use immediately in real-life situations. Whether we are focusing on phonics, reading comprehension, pronunciation, or basic conversational skills, every lesson is paced to match your exact speed.
