About Alexa
Hi! My name is Alexa. I am a world traveler who loves to try new foods, explore new places, and learn new cultures. English is my first language, and I learned Spanish while living in Spain for one year of high school. I live in the USA (for now!) and am studying at university. I love to watch movies, and TV shows, listen to music, and be outside. As conversational practice in many of my lessons, we talk about movies and TV shows, or different cultures and foods :)
I hope I can help show you that learning English can be lots of fun and make you want to learn more!

One thing that will never happen in my lessons is that I talk the whole time. Learning is supposed to be conversational and shared between the learner and the teacher. We will work on vocabulary, speaking confidently, and reading ability in each lesson, all catered to your specific needs. A typical lesson will start with conversational practice, do some reading, and have another conversation after the reading to use the new vocabulary words learned each day. I am a very visual tutor, and you will learn from lots of pictures, drawings, games, and having fun! These lessons are for someone who is a beginner/intermediate, just starting to learn English, or would like to start. I do basic grammar work, but not more as my focus is on speaking, reading, and expanding vocabulary.
