About Lindsey

My teaching approach is interactive and student-centered. I focus on real-life communication skills, especially speaking and listening, so students can use English naturally and confidently. About the lesson

Hi, I’m Lindsey, and I’m a TEFL-certified English tutor with a Bachelor of General Studies and extensive international experience working as an Au Pair in the United States. My teaching approach is student-focused and practical, meaning I tailor each lesson to real-life communication so students can confidently use English in everyday situations. I specialize in creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning naturally through conversation, repetition, and guided correction.

My teaching method combines structured learning with interactive practice. A typical lesson plan begins with a short warm-up conversation to build confidence, followed by a focused language topic such as vocabulary, grammar, or pronunciation. I then introduce guided practice activities, such as role-playing or scenario-based exercises, and finish with a short review and feedback session to reinforce what was learned. I also adapt my lessons depending on the student’s goals, whether that is improving conversational fluency, preparing for travel, or strengthening academic English.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my diverse background in education, childcare, customer service, and aviation training, which allows me to bring real-world context into my lessons. I understand how to communicate across cultures and adapt my teaching style to different ages and learning levels. My lessons are best suited for beginner to intermediate English learners, including children, teens, and adults who want to improve their speaking confidence and practical communication skills.
