About Donald
"Since I have been gigging for 7 years with just a mic, I know that stage fright is the first thing we have to tackle together. Honestly, I have taught 497 students how to stop worrying and start singing with real conviction.
My 12 years of experience means I have seen every vocal issue imaginable. We focus on breathing control and resonance until your voice feels like a natural extension of your body.
Most of my students are hobbyists or self-taught players who just need a little bit of guidance to get moving. I am a firm believer that the best vocalists are the ones who are not afraid to sound bad while they are learning to sound great. Sometimes you just have to lean into the weird noises to find the right tone. I am just a guy who loves a good protest song."

"I confess that I used to think warm-ups were just a way for teachers to kill time before the real work started. Now I realize that proper warm-up exercises and microphone technique are the only things keeping you from blowing your voice out after 3 songs. We will spend our time exploring head and chest voice along with vibrato control so you can handle any song in your repertoire. My sessions are built around making sure your pitch control and sight singing are rock solid regardless of the genre.
I will provide homework vocal drills assigned after every session to keep your muscle memory sharp between our meetings. You can expect us to work on performance confidence until being on stage feels like being in your own living room. I try to keep the atmosphere light and jokey because singing should be fun even when we are dissecting complex resonance. My promise is that we will keep the focus on what actually makes your voice sound like you."
