About Ruby
Hi! I’m Ruby and I intend for a career in education because I would be helping another human being improve intellectually and emotionally. Some people struggle academically and have low self-esteem because of this. And unfortunately, their self-esteem and confidence doesn’t improve until someone takes them under their wings and guides them through the learning process. As a student I understand the difficulty in learning and ambition so I would love to be the person to do so, having a positive impact on someone and their education. It’s something I firmly believe in.

As a student myself I have struggled with learning and motivation through the pandemic, and with help from peers and teachers I have caught up to an above standard level. This has inspired me to offer my services to support those also struggling and to offer the opportunity to academically grow to their full potential.
I have recently engaged in work experience in a school, where I developed several skills and abilities such as verbal and written communication skills, the ability to plan and schedule, the ability to motivate students to study, patience and understanding and finally the ability to adapt to different learning styles. All beneficial to the working environment, and quality outcome of my lesson.
I use Zoom online sessions since it has many tools and features specially designed for interactive and visual learning. My lessons cost £8/h and I am available week evenings and weekends to tutor primary and secondary school ages.
