About Karolina
Hello! My name is Karolina Hernandez and I've had a passion for Folklorico since I started. Not many people know about the Mexican culture of Folklorico and I find it important to teach others about this beautiful culture. I'm currently the captain of a nationally recognized team, and I'm eager to teach others what I've been learning for years.

I take pride in teaching beginners as I understand how difficult Folklorico may be at the start. I always suggest practicing across the floor as it helps with movement and memory. To start off, it's important to learn the history of the state you're dancing so you acquire knowledge on the style and story you are portraying. From there, I will teach basics until mastered, and I will also be working with skirting skills. I have leadership experience and have taught classes for 2 years. I specialize mainly with beginners eager to learn!

I have had the pleasure of working with Karolina face to face, and it was one of the best experiences ever. I was able to learn about my culture and perform the stories I'm told. She has a different approach from professionals; she takes times and does not demand perfection.
