About Sophia
I am a third year classics student at Durham University on track to achieve a first. I self-studied a Classical Civilisations A-Level during my gap year and achieved an A*, including full marks in my Roman Republic module. My other A-Levels were A*AAAA including an A in French. I can tutor Classical Civilisations and French as well as Latin, which I studied to an advanced level at university. I am also happy to discuss university applications and personal statements.

After ascertaining what a student would like to take from tutoring I will target my teaching towards their individual needs. I self-studied a classical-civilisations A-Level in my gap year, achieving an A* with full marks in my Roman Republic module and can also help with university applications for Classics. I am able to use my past A-Level notes for French A-Level (the cultural topics I would be particularly qualified to teach would be L'etranger and Francois Truffaut) to aid my students and would be happy to help with any essay or grammar aid that was needed. I am happy to tutor GCSE students as well.
