About Nida
Hi! My name is Nida and I am a third-year Nursing student at James Cook University.
In my years of studying, I have found that proficiency in literacy is key, not only for future study but also for any career path in life. As someone who used to struggle with English in elementary school, I know how daunting it can be to ask for help during class time while sharing limited attention from teachers with other students. I believe that it's important to form essential skills earlier rather than later and with one-on-one help. That's where I come in handy! I am patient and work well with children. I hold a current Working with Children (Blue) card and have three years of experience tutoring within the 9 to 14-year-old age group.

My teaching approach is based on creating a strong foundation that can be built upon in future years. I specialize in tutoring children from grade four to grade nine as the early formation of skills and habits will allow for greater development of written and oral competency in future years. I have tutored for three years and my lessons consist of a range of 1 to 2 hours of planning, proofreading, editing, and teaching new skills and concepts where necessary.
