About Louise
Having experienced the IB curriculum myself, I understand the pressure and overwhelm that can come with it. I am currently completing my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and will be progressing to a Master’s in Clinical Psychology next year. My genuine passion for psychology has remained consistent throughout my academic journey, and the IB provided a strong foundation for my studies.
I bring an enthusiastic, organised and supportive approach to tutoring, aiming to create a calm and encouraging learning environment. My goal is not only to help students achieve top grades, but also to build their confidence and help them genuinely enjoy Psychology.
Alongside my studies, I have worked as a swimming teacher and as a teaching assistant supporting students with additional educational needs. These roles have strengthened my ability to adapt to individual learning styles, communicate clearly, and provide structured guidance.

As a third-year Psychology undergraduate at the University of Exeter and a graduate of the International Baccalaureate, I have a rich understanding of psychological theory, research methods and critical evaluation especially within the IB framework.
My tutoring is tailored to each individual student, with a focus not only on understanding content but on applying knowledge effectively in SAQs and ERQs to maximise marks. I place particular emphasis on exam technique, essay structure, and meeting the specific demands of IB mark schemes.
I am also able to provide support with the Psychology Internal Assessment (IA), Extended Essay, and coursework planning. In lessons, I incorporate model answers, structured practice and detailed feedback, referring closely to mark schemes to ensure students understand exactly how to achieve top grades.
Lesson times are flexible and designed to reflect the needs and goals of each individual student.
