About Raul
My name is Raul, I am a physics student in my 3rd year of uni. I’ve always been interested in what I am currently studying and what I am planning to teach, and I think it would be amazing to have the opportunity to not only get more people to love the subject, but to genuinely help people improve in something they might think they are simply lacking in.

Due to my history of being taught in public schools, I understand that specifically for maths, most schools focus on getting the students to memorise equations and to just remember when to apply them. I believe it would be much more beneficial for students to understand the mechanisms behind what they are doing and what the equations mean. I think that would not only see their grades in maths go up, but potentially grades in other subjects and would also see that they are able to think more deeply about all things. This doesn’t mean I will be teaching them higher level maths beyond the scope of the exam they are preparing for, as that will still be the main goal, but my approach to that will be a lot more personal.
