About Mia
My name is Mia Venturini and I teach primarily STEM subjects with a specific focus around algebra, chemistry, and biology.
My interest in such subjects comes from a fascination with real-world scenarios. This is what led me to chemical engineering and away from professions such as physics and philosophy. Although real concepts are taught, they are ideas one must often imagine due to being so small or even imaginary in the math world!
Growing up as a kid who needed extra help from teachers to understand the material being taught, I enjoy teaching kids the tricks I learned to succeed and presenting my ideas in a way that may be more easily understood by others.

My core teaching structure would be basing the concepts around realistic scenarios when possible and providing examples so students can conceptualize the information instead of purely memorizing.
I strongly believe that understanding the content leads to a higher success rate in assessments than purely memorizing.
