I met Emily through school, where we quickly became friends, and over time I’ve been able to see firsthand how dedicated and supportive she is, whether that be in our friendship or helping others learn. What I appreciate most about Emily’s teaching methods is how encouraging and patient she is. She never makes you feel rushed or uncomfortable for not understanding something right away, and she explains concepts clearly and effectively until they actually make sense. She is extremely hardworking and always aims to help to the best of her ability, no matter how much time or effort it takes. A great example of this was when she helped me study for my math yearly exam. She took the time to go through questions step by step, explain mistakes, and motivate me when I felt stressed. Because of her support and the knowledge she passed on to me, I felt much more confident going into the exam. In addition to this, I’ve seen Emily continuously take on leadership roles, which really highlights her responsibility, commitment, and strong work ethic.
