About Maya
I am a grade 10 student who puts in the effort to flourish academically. So many students have hidden potential hindered by labels. X is "the smart one" and I am "the dumb one." When in reality those labels do nothing but weigh you down from achieving the impossible. I tutor to change people. As much as people like to separate teachers from their subject, it's the teacher that matters. Having a boring mentor will allow you to be bored of the subject. That's the last thing I want in a student. And no, forced enjoyment won't work either. I want my students to find their own passion and ardor in learning.

Exam work can be tough. Sometimes you know the answer but can never form a cohesive response. Overwriting, underwriting, it happens to all of us. I'm here to help! There's always something a teacher wants in a response. My job is to guide you to understand what you are dealing with and ensure you have a perfect repertoire of knowledge to ace exams. I work with high school students from grades 8-10, but I am willing to take younger grades.
