About Virgie

Many people assume that teaching physics requires a PhD, but my perspective as a junior at Duke University offers a cleaner view. I moved into teaching from industry, bringing habits that focus on actual completion rather than vanity metrics.

Having worked with 46 students, I know that most people are not as bad at physics as they fear. My background in kinematics and thermodynamics shapes how I explain difficult concepts.

I handle electrostatics, circuit analysis, and modern physics with ease. You will get deep dives into derivations and formulas. I bring a direct approach to electricity and magnetism, waves and oscillations, and competition prep. My experience is grounded in what actually works.

About the lesson

Getting to the solution is easier when you stop guessing at the process. We begin with a diagnostic test for every student to map out your current standing. Using my background in modern physics and circuit analysis, we clear the fog. I keep focus sharp and the pace consistent.

I prefer to spend our time on actual problem solving. We cover kinematics and thermodynamics in a way that sticks. You leave the hour with a concrete sense of progress. No fluff, just results.
