About Anna

Hi, I am Anna!
I am an MBPhD student (a medical student, completing a PhD as part of my medical degree) currently researching the neurobiological and immunological basis of fatigue in rheumatic disease. I have been working as a tutor for over 5 years now and have taught more than 2500 hours in the field of UCAT and Medical Applications in this time. I’ve designed courses, given lecture series, created content, written articles and taught everything from really small to very large groups. If it exists, I've probably done it before and I use all this experience to benefit my students.

About the lesson

My experience helps me in designing lessons that are personalised to each student and ensure I can help you be successful. That might look like teaching you the basics of percentages and mental maths or helping you with the most complex roleplay scenarios in medical interviews.

It is really important to me that every student has a good experience and every lesson is focused on getting you the most benefit possible. To support this I can help you with designing an independent study plan, provide resources and work to be completed before or after lessons. For medical interviews I provide articles, papers, summary notes and whole questions with answer structures for you to practice. For UCAT students I will give real UCAT questions as work after the lesson, provide worksheets and worked examples so you always have notes to come back to when you need them. I am also always contactable for quick questions or emergency issues.

My daughter has anxiety and was really nervous about both the UCAT and the prospect of tutoring. She made me feel comfortable with asking any questions, but also made me see how to approach the questions differently and what to look out for. She was very supportive and her layout for studying is something I find may avoid burnout when studying for the UCAT!!
