About Ray
Bass is a lot more than a guitar minus two strings. As the bassist in your band, you're the anchor that the drummer follows, and the rest of the band follows the drummer! What makes bass the most fun is the fact that you're primarily a rhythm instrument whose job is to primarily lock in with the kick drum...but unlike drums...you have musical value, as well. Laying down fun grooves will not only get stuck in an audience's head, you'll move them to dance by shaking the floor (now THAT'S the most fun part!). Contrary to what you might have heard, bass isn't the easy version of guitar, but it sure is fun...and vital! I strive to make learning enjoyable.
