About Rachel
I am 23 and I have had my struggles in education and the way I found a way through was with my tutor, she helped me get out of certain mindsets and achieve what I have achieved today and I want to be able to do the same. In my spare time I love to swim, read and go out with my friends. I am OFSTED registered and have a childcare qualification, because it's not all about the academic side with being a tutor, you need to be able to engage and inspire children to want to learn and if you have no idea about the developmental stages this can be difficult. I hope I can make a difference in a students life and help them achieve whatever it may be they strive for.

I have a student led approach and try to get them involved in the planning and preparation of lessons as much as possible as it usually leads to them becoming much more engaged in the topic. I have a relaxed but firm approach, failure and mistakes are going to happen and that is okay, it is how you pick yourself up afterwards that matters. I typically do 50 min lessons with a 10 min break as most students attention span is 40 mins for one topic, of course this is flexible and can be tailored to meet individual needs. I have an A* in Math's from A levels and I am a level 3 trained accountant and working my way up. I like to share my knowledge and experience and try to tailor how I work to each students needs, I am flexible, happy, enthusiastic and fair tutor.
