About Gunisha
Hello! My name is Gunisha Kaur, and I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Data Science at the University of British Columbia. With a strong academic foundation and a professional background as a data engineer in India for two years, I bring both dedication and expertise to everything I do. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in 2022 and have been passionate about teaching ever since.
Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students at home in subjects like English, French, and Math. I take pride in creating a welcoming and engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s needs. As a dedicated English tutor, my teaching approach is centered around understanding the unique challenges each student faces and providing tailored solutions to help them overcome those obstacles. From there, I use interactive techniques, real-life examples, and personalized exercises to address those issues effectively. For IELTS preparation, I share proven strategies that I’ve developed from my own experience and from guiding students successfully in the past year.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Warm-up: A quick review of the previous lesson or an engaging activity to set the tone.
Focus Area: Dive into the specific topic of the day, such as grammar rules, essay writing, or speaking practice.
Interactive Practice: Hands-on exercises, discussions, or problem-solving to solidify understanding.
