About Francesca

I am a qualified and experienced Physical Education teacher currently working as a Trust Director of Sport, leading PE across multiple secondary and primary schools. My role involves developing curriculum, supporting teachers, improving outcomes and ensuring students receive high-quality PE education and sporting opportunities.

Sport has always been a huge part of my life. I have competed in and coached a variety of sports and understand the balance between the practical and theoretical elements of Physical Education. This real-world experience allows me to bring topics to life and help students understand how theory applies in sporting situations.

I am passionate about helping young people achieve their potential. Whether a student is aiming to pass GCSE, secure a top grade at A Level or simply build confidence in the subject, I provide patient, supportive and well-structured lessons that are tailored to their individual needs.

Parents can be confident that lessons are delivered professionally, with clear communication, thorough preparation and a focus on measurable progress. I pride myself on creating a friendly and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves.

I understand that examinations can feel overwhelming, so my goal is to make learning enjoyable, build confidence and equip every student with the knowledge, exam technique and revision skills they need to succeed.

About the lesson

Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to their individual needs, confidence level and examination goals. My aim is not just to improve grades, but to develop a genuine understanding of Physical Education so students feel confident applying their knowledge in exams.

As a Trust Director of Sport and experienced PE teacher, I have extensive experience teaching GCSE and A Level Physical Education, leading curriculum development and supporting students to achieve their potential. I have worked with a wide range of learners, from those aiming to secure a pass to students striving for the highest grades. My professional experience also includes leading departments across multiple secondary schools, giving me a thorough understanding of the demands of examination specifications and effective teaching strategies.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although longer revision sessions can be arranged before examinations. Each session is carefully structured and may include:

Clear explanations of key concepts using simple, relatable sporting examples.
Retrieval practice to strengthen long-term memory.
Exam technique, including how to answer extended-response questions and maximise marks.
Practice questions with detailed feedback based on exam board mark schemes.
Revision strategies and resources that students can continue to use independently.

I teach GCSE and A Level Physical Education, supporting students studying all major UK exam boards. Lessons are suitable for students of all abilities, whether they need help understanding difficult topics, improving exam confidence, catching up on missed learning or aiming for the highest grades.

My teaching style is supportive, encouraging and well organised. I believe students achieve the best results when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence in a positive learning environment. Every lesson is designed to be engaging, challenging and focused on helping each student reach their full potential.
