About Rhett
I am an enthusiastic piano tutor with over 11 years of teaching experience. I teach students from school, college, and working professional backgrounds. I enjoy making learning simple and enjoyable.
My teaching approach is based on communication, flexibility, and understanding each student’s goals. I customise my lessons to suit their level and learning speed. I focus on building strong basics and improving gradually.
In addition to piano, I teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises. These help students become confident and skilled musicians. I also include creative activities and song learning.
My strength is simplifying complex topics and making learning stress-free. I help students build confidence, improve consistency, and develop good practice habits.
I believe in creating a positive and motivating environment. My aim is to help students enjoy music and continue learning piano with confidence.

My teaching methodology emphasises student-centred and holistic learning. I believe that piano lessons should foster technical skills, creative expression, and personal growth. Through consistent communication, I understand each student’s goals, learning preferences, and challenges, allowing me to create lessons that are engaging, motivating, and effective.
Creativity is encouraged in every session. Students explore improvisation, composition, and diverse musical styles, helping them develop a personal voice and artistic confidence. Flexibility ensures lessons are adapted to the student’s pace, level, and learning style, making progress smooth and enjoyable.
In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This integrated approach strengthens technical ability, musical understanding, and expressive skills. My aim is to help students become confident, well-rounded, and passionate musicians who love music for life.
