About Elithia

I am interested in teaching because I believe it is something that is structurally and systematically undervalued yet integral to intellectual and emotional development. I deeply enjoy, being an observer of others learning and navigating the intellectual world with curiosity. Going deeply into other people's experiences of the world, and the structures of the world that we find ourselves in, can aid in our understandings of ourselves, others, and the role we have here as human beings.

About the lesson

My teaching method is fluid and adaptable based on the relationship at hand; all are very different and nuanced. I see teaching as a two way stream of consciousness. To the best of my ability I will endeavour to make you love writing, the grade follows the energy put into it. I will do this even within the confines of a rigid school syllabus, that tries to narrow the unbounded nature of creative language, into linear graded structure. I did both english literature, and language at GCSE achieving A* in both, and continued English literature at A level. I received a 2:1 in law from the university of Bristol, this is because I took some liberties with my dissertation and went on a conceptual detour. I am very happy to guide people with A level and degree level Law. I achieved an A* at A-level, and find legal application and theory interesting as well as relatively simple. I am very flexible with timings, whatever works for individuals. I am aware that longer lessons can allow information to assimilate better, but i also understand the need for shorter and more brief interactions with material to keep it relevant. In essence I'm flexible and can work with your time preferences. My experience is none other than having done all of this myself fairly recently, as well as working recently in a school in Nepal. I am here to also be guided by the student, who I believe will know what is best for them; we can go from there.
