About Sylwia Weronika
I graduated with both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Turkology from the University of Warsaw. I have been living in Turkey for almost two years now. I spent over a year at Istanbul University as an exchange student, where all my classes were in Turkish. I have had contact with Turkey since I was born - my family has been living in the historical Polish village near Istanbul, in Adampol (Polonezköy), since the 19th century. This is why I have always visited Turkey several times a year since I was a child. I value Turkish above all for both its clear grammatical rules and semantic flexibility. Before Turkology, I studied art history. Nowadays, I try to combine this area with my love for Turkey - in my research work I am focusing on Turkish architecture. I enjoy working in any field, so if there is a topic you would particularly like to work on, I would be happy to help. In my spare time I'm learning German, Swedish and French.

I will gladly give you lessons in Turkish from a basic/intermediate level. I mainly focus on conversation during my classes. I always share PDF books via Google Drive with my new students. For each class I open a separate Word file to write down new words, explain grammar rules, etc. In addition, after every class, I give a small homework, and I also send some extra articles, YT videos, audios and songs - so that the student becomes accustomed to the language. I also love talking about Turkish culture. If you are interested in a particular topic or field in Turkish, I will take that into account while preparing classes :)
