About Estell
Chemistry is simply the study of how things change. I started teaching after graduating with a BSc in Applied Mathematics from UC Berkeley because I enjoyed explaining the logic behind chemical reactions.
My experience includes guiding 275 students through conceptual learning, lab and practical work, and equation balancing. I typically work with students who need a clear path through organic chemistry, thermochemistry, and inorganic chemistry. Whether we are reviewing the periodic table and trends or tackling numerical problem solving, I keep the atmosphere supportive.
Exam preparation becomes much easier once you have a solid grasp of these foundations. I look forward to helping you reach your academic targets.

Sometimes I worry that students try to memorize too much instead of learning the underlying patterns. Diagnostic testing for every student before we begin allows me to build a plan that addresses exactly what you need to know. We will cover 10 distinct areas including organic chemistry and complex equation balancing to ensure nothing is left to chance. It is effective.
We keep the pace steady so you can absorb every detail about thermochemistry or inorganic chemistry. I focus on periodic table and trends until they are second nature. You will practice numerical problem solving with my guidance. My goal is to make sure you understand the lab and practical work deeply.
You will be ready for your exam preparation. We will see how it goes.
