About Adrianna

Hi! My name is Adrianna, and I’m a college student at Lehigh University majoring in Political Science with a pre-law focus. This year, I discovered my passion for tutoring through my work with refugees in a school organization. Watching my students grow from struggling with introductions to speaking confidently about topics like the economy was an incredibly rewarding experience.

Since then, I’ve expanded my tutoring to include students of all ages and backgrounds, including English language learners and native speakers. I offer support in:

Grammar and writing fundamentals (elementary to high school level)
Essay writing and literary techniques
Reading comprehension and analysis
College application preparation, including personal statements and essays
My goal is to tailor each session to the student’s unique needs, whether it’s building basic language skills, excelling in school assignments, or preparing for the next step in their academic journey.

About the lesson

One of the most important things when tutoring is building a connection with the student. I always start off my lesson by asking them about their week and seeing how their personal lives are going first to let them know I am also here as a friend. Depending on the demographic of who I am teaching I will write out the objectives for that day and follow them with exercises to reinforce our goal. As I am a college student, I know how frustrating learning can be sometimes, so I do everything in my power to break that barrier.
