About Mahan
I have studied Optometry at Master's level and have knowledge and experience in practical based healthcare assessments of patients under the NHS and in a high-street opticians. Having found teaching rewarding and impactful I continue to tutor students who require support in Maths and the Sciences. Currently, I am training to teach in secondary schools, specialising in Physics, and have taught topics to GCSE students including Electricity, Respiration and Atomic Structure. Furthermore I have worked as a teaching assistant supporting students with additional needs, collaborating with other teachers to improve students' learning.

The lesson will recap knowledge from previous topics, and review any misconceptions. Then, we will learn about a new topic before practicing some examination-style questions independently. At the end we will review the content of the lesson in shorter questions to ensure that the student understands the topic. Throughout the lesson, the student will also learn about how this topic links to the curriculum and when and how to apply the learned skills.
