About Beth
Hi, I'm Beth, a PhD student in physical oceanography and climate science, and an experienced tutor of maths and physics. I previously studied MSc Atmosphere Ocean and Climate at the University of Reading and BSc Physics at the University of Warwick, so you can be assured that I have a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of physics and maths. I am currently looking for students for the new academic year, since my previous students finished their A-Levels in 2022.

- Focus on past papers and questions to maximise exam practice for students approaching exams.
- Away from exam periods, I like to prioritise developing the student's skills more broadly, and focus more deeply on context and fundamentals in the sciences, and developing problem solving approaches in maths.
- I am more than happy for the student to lead on topic choices, especially at the beginning of the tutoring partnership.
- Online lessons of 1-1.5 hours.
- 2 years experience of tutoring maths and physics A-Levels.
- I offer lessons online via Zoom or similar. We can work via a screenshare and face-to-face discussion, but I like to also film my pen and paper as this is a great way to go through problems together.
