About Cian

I am a current University student at UQ, currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering/Master of Engineering. I graduated high-school on the Gold Coast, at Varsity College, with an ATAR of 98.8.

One of the reasons that I want to be a Tutor, is that I found, when I was in class, or at a study session, I would always be helping people - explaining complex topics to them, showing them the correct process to answer a question. This gave me a great feeling of purpose and satisfaction, and I realized it is what I want to do.

Another factor would be, when I was in Grade 12, I had my own tutor, and without his guidance and help, I don't think I would be the same person that I am today, let alone the same student. I feel as though I can take some of the good traits that he had, and then add my own flair and understanding as well. He really inspired me to want to teach.

About the lesson

The perfect student for me, is a grade 12 student (starting their ATAR), who is looking to achieve really high results.

Throughout the year, my goal is to give students an intimate knowledge of the subject matter and teach them everything that there is to understand about their given subject.

I can give you all of the exam preparation that you will need, and ensure (through feedback and recommendations) that you get full marks for all internal assignments.

With my guidance, students will be incredibly well prepared come exam time, as the only real focus will be on getting through repetitions (past papers, questions and exams) and becoming super consistent.

Our goal will be to go into external exams, super confident, with full marks (or close to) internally. We will have a great knowledge of the subject matter and what QCAA are looking for, and we will be ultra consistent at our exam techniques; answering questions, time management, ect.

Overall, I think that I am capable of helping a student achieve to the best of their abilities.
