About Jo
I have a PhD in Psychotherapy Studies and a post-graduate teaching diploma in online learning, both from the University of Sheffield, where I was a Lecturer in Mental Health for ten years. My doctoral research focused on human development and learning throughout the life cycle. I've also taught in UK adult education colleges, and in universities abroad. I have a first class degree in Cultural Studies with majors in Media Studies and Religious Studies. My post-doctoral research has focused on the representation of mental health and religion in the media. I'm widely published and you can find out more by Googling Jo Nash PhD. I'm an accredited coach and especially skilled at coaching ESL and neurodivergent students who have additional support needs. I will help you identify your unique strengths and apply them to ensure you meet your academic and writing goals. The first lesson is a mutual assessment that I offer for free. If you decide to work with me, I'll agree a timetable with you to suit your needs. This can be flexible, as we go, or structured as you prefer. I'll then draw up a contract for you so that you know I'll be there to support you until your goals are reached. I use my skills in positive psychology to offer emotional support alongside my academic expertise to help you overcome any hurdles you encounter along the way.
