About Massimo

Hello I'm Massimo, nice to meet you. I have been studying English literature and media independently and academically for the past 7 years. I'm an author and editor who has read a plethora of books. I have a very solid grasp on the English language. I also attend Concordia University for Creative Writing and Education.

I published my first story in 2024 in partnership with Dawson College, and I did my first public speech at a competition in 2023 which I won third place.

I'm a nerdy guy with a plethora of interests, whether that be books, manga, video games, or card games. I want to get to know my clients as then we can develop a chemistry and from there I can make a specialized lesson plan for you.

My lessons typically start with assessing your reading/writing level, and seeing what we need to improve on. This works whether you need help with the language itself, essay or creative writing, or just reading in general.

I am not here to be a burden on your life, I am just as busy as you are. I want to create a lesson plan in which you are happy to learn from. If you aren't engaged, then I have failed as a tutor. In short, I want a friendly environment with banter to help you learn and succeed.

About the lesson

My teaching style typically begins with assessing your level in the given subject, then moving on with a targeted lesson plan that will give you practical skills to apply to your studies. I am patient and methodical and I will take my time to ensure you have a grasp of the material/language. whether this be reading short stories, discussing how to convey points in essays, or just how to go about the English language I'm the guy. What will set me apart as your tutor is that I don't want you to be bored with the material. I want you to be engaged and at least slightly excited to learn. I specialize with people in elementary and high school with novice/basic/intermediate English skills. I also can teach cegep students in English Literature if help is needed. While I do online sessions, I do not mind meeting in a public space if necessary. If you need me. give me a call.
