About quinn
I am a guitar tutor with 11 years of experience, combining dedicated teaching with active live performance. I hold an Associate Degree in Guitar Performance, which strengthened both my technical mastery and artistic understanding. My journey includes performing in jazz clubs, rock venues, and music festivals, where I developed versatility and confidence on stage.
Real-world experience deeply shapes my lessons. I teach improvisation not just as theory, but as a living conversation between musicians. Students learn how to respond, adapt, and create in the moment. I also focus strongly on stage presence, helping learners move beyond practice rooms into powerful live performance.
Developing a clear musical identity is central to my mentorship. I guide aspiring performers and gigging musicians in refining their sound, repertoire, and professionalism. My teaching approach for guitar is structured, practical, and inspiring. I focus on building strong foundations in posture, finger technique, rhythm control, and tone production. Students learn music theory in a simple way, including scales, chords, harmony, ear training, and improvisation. I connect theory directly to real songs so learning feels meaningful and exciting.
I teach classical, acoustic, electric, and bass guitar with equal depth and clarity. For students who love powerful stage performance, I develop lead playing, riff creation, solo techniques, and confident expression. For those who value precision and tradition, I refine articulation, fingerstyle control, sight reading, and musical interpretation. Both pathways are treated with equal respect and discipline.
Modern tools are part of my lessons. I use metronome training, backing tracks, recording software, amp modeling, and digital practice apps to improve timing and creativity. Students also explore songwriting, arrangement, and basic music production. Each lesson is personalized to match goals and skill level. My aim is not only skill development but building true passion and lifelong musicianship.
