About Tenny
I am an incoming PhD student in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. I received my Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from the University of Illinois Chicago and my Bachelor of Science in Global Public Health from Leiden University College in the Netherlands. I enjoy applying an interdisciplinary approach to learning and education. I have been tutoring since I was 17 years old, and have worked with students from all walks of life.

I have been a tutor for over seven years now! I have experience tutoring K-12 mathematics, science, social sciences (including history, geography, and psychology), and Language/Literature (including reading, essay writing, and textual analysis). I was also an ACT/SAT prep tutor for a year, so I am familiar with the expectations and challenges associated with these tests. I was an international baccalaureate (IB) student, and I am familiar with these exams as well. For five years, I tutored English as a second language, working with students from the ages of 5-70 from over 20 countries. I love working with people from all backgrounds, and my primary goal as a tutor is to help you/your student find your strengths as a learner! I like to customize my tutoring sessions for each individual student to ensure that I really work to each individual's strengths.
