About Anjali Ruth
Being the eldest in my family, I remember the frustration of struggling with school. It wasn't until my younger brothers came to me for help that I realized I could share what I knew with others.
Even throughout my time as an after-school nanny, I realised the fulfillment that came with being able to share my knowledge with a student or child that has so many questions.
After graduating from university as an engineer, I switched paths into the field of technology and all it took was an amazing 4 month learning journey, so I understand the importance of having a solid understanding of the fundamentals.
I used to struggle with Math, but I found that the only way to get over your learning anxieties, is to go through them. I'm here to guide you through these challenges as your tutor.

I like beginning classes by reviewing the concept from a previous session, which helps the student build their confidence and ease their anxiety. Spaced repetition is also a proven method to studying smart.
Then I look into teaching a new concept for the day, which includes guided and independent practice. I find that the practice really solidifies the student's understanding of the newly learned concept.
I like asking students for their thoughts concerns as we go along, so we can pinpoint the areas requiring extra attention during the session as a new concept is being taught.
I am a UCL-trained Chemical Engineering Graduate, with A*s in Chemistry and Math at buth GCSE and A level.
I worked as a nanny throughout university, helping children aged 5-11 with their learning materians everyday, which shaped the way I teach.
I am offering lessons for students at GCSE level, with a typical lesson being about 1 hour long.
