About Maya

I am a current student at UCLA. I am an 8th grade math tutor for Teach for Ignite Fellowship, volunteer in elementary school classrooms, and have experience working with children and adults with special needs as a Social Skills facilitator at an afterschool program. I am passionate about education and aspire to be a math teacher in the future.

About the lesson

Working with Teach for Ignite as an 8th grade math tutor, I have created unique teaching strategies that can be implemented with online meetings. I prepare thoroughly before my sessions and communicate with my students to help them reach their academic goals.
