About Julia
I’m a pre-med student with a strong academic record, having earned As in every biology course I’ve taken—from general biology to advanced topics like genetics and cellular biology. I’ve successfully tutored both high school and college students in biology, and I bring a patient, supportive approach to each session. In addition to my academic experience, I’ve spent time working with children of various ages, which has helped me develop the communication skills and adaptability needed to explain complex topics in a way that makes sense and sticks.

I use visual diagrams, analogies, active recall techniques, and practice questions to make complex topics accessible. I often break down lessons using real-world examples—like how the immune system responds to vaccines or what photosynthesis means for climate science—to spark engagement and critical thinking. I also work alongside Julia, who brings a strong background in molecular biology and a passion for helping students build confidence in their understanding. Together, we create a dynamic tutoring environment, especially for students who benefit from reinforcement across different modes—whether verbal explanations, drawing mechanisms, or step-by-step problem-solving.
