About Nujhat Alam
As a tutor, my goal is to help students develop a deep understanding of the subject matter while also building their confidence and love for learning. Although I don't have formal certifications for teaching, I have several years of experience working with students one-on-one, both in person and online.
As a CS student at Illinois Tech, I have a strong foundation in mathematics and problem solving, which allows me to explain concepts clearly and in a way that is accessible to students of all levels. I understand the challenges that students face when learning new material, and I am patient, supportive, and encouraging throughout the learning process.
In my teaching style, I focus on student-centered learning, which means that I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each individual student. Whether I'm teaching math or other science subjects, I use a variety of techniques to make the material engaging and interactive, such as real-world examples, interactive worksheets, and games.
As a tutor, I am also a good listener and communicator, and I am always available to answer questions and provide feedback. I understand that every student is different, and I work hard to create a supportive and encouraging environment that empowers my students to achieve their academic goals.

From writing personal statements to preparing for interviews, I help students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in a competitive academic environment.
