About Karen
I want to teach because seeing student success makes me happy and I want students to feel better about their learning. I'm studying a BSc (major chemistry minor biology) to be a chemistry and biology teacher because I feel that I can make a difference in students' learning journeys. I spend a good deal of my free time watching YouTube videos about productivity and study methods because I'm interested in finding new ways to grow as a student.

I teach level 2 and 3 chemistry and biology students the concepts they need to grasp as a foundation until it completely makes sense, and then focus on linking concepts and looking at past paper questions, including how to take parts of a question and recognize the answers needed for higher grades.
Lessons would be between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours, dependent on the student's needs. I have two years of experience tutoring mostly level 2 chemistry and biology. I am a student who reads through multiple past papers to recognize patterns and the exact wording usually used in answers to feel more confident when I take the exam.
Happy to teach students at all levels, I am patient and approachable :)

I had the honour of working with Karen when dealing with exams and she was incredibly patient when explaining concepts that felt incredibly difficult for me. She often explained things in a manner that i can easily digest and it helped in getting me to understand and doing extremely well on the exam I believe the exam would have been twice as hard if not for her tutoring.
Karen is nice sometimes but she always makes me know whats the answer and how did i get it. I've got problems with listening and i got adhd and bio and chemistry has been really difficult but she really helps me alot. She gets to the point and makes me learn.
