About Leah
I am a first-year Law student at the University of Nottingham, with a strong academic background in Mathematics. I achieved a grade 8 in both Maths and Further Maths at GCSE, an A in A-Level Maths, and additional qualifications in Further Maths and Level 3 Algebra, I have an excellent command of the subject at GCSE level and beyond. Maths has always been a subject I am passionate about — I love the clarity and logic it brings to problem-solving, and I find great satisfaction in helping others reach that same moment of understanding. My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, beginning with identifying areas of difficulty and building from there. Every session follows a clear structure: reviewing previous work, working through new material together with examples, and finishing with independent practice to build confidence ahead of the next lesson. I am committed to helping every student not just improve their grade, but genuinely enjoy and understand the subject.

I am offering 1-hour weekly GCSE Maths tutoring sessions for students aged 14–16. Having achieved a grade 8 in both Maths and Further Maths at GCSE, alongside an A in A-Level Maths, an Additional Maths qualification, and a Level 3 Algebra certificate, I have a strong and confident grasp of the subject at this level. My approach is student-led: I begin by identifying each student's specific areas of difficulty and structure lessons around addressing those gaps. A typical session starts with reviewing any questions from the previous week, moves into teaching and working through the focus topic together with examples, and ends with independent practice and a short task to consolidate learning before the next session. My goal is to build genuine understanding and exam confidence, rather than simply teaching to the test.
