About Dhurgashree
I’m a friendly and approachable tutor who believes that learning should feel comfortable, not stressful. I try to create a relaxed environment where students feel safe asking questions and taking their time to understand concepts without pressure. I’m patient and don’t mind going over things multiple times or explaining in different ways until it really clicks.
I enjoy making lessons engaging and easy to remember by breaking down complex ideas into simple parts. I often use small tricks, patterns, and relatable examples so students can better retain what they learn and apply it during exams. I also like to keep lessons interactive so students stay involved instead of just passively listening.
What sets me apart is that my teaching doesn’t stop at lesson time. I put in effort beyond the classroom and am always open to students reaching out to me outside of lessons if they have questions or need clarification. I want my students to feel supported throughout their learning, not just during the scheduled sessions.
At the same time, I’m responsible and consistent in how I teach. I make sure lessons are organized, productive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I genuinely care about helping my students improve and gain confidence, and I’ll always do my best to support them at their own pace.

I am a top O-Level scorer and an ex-student of Raffles Institution, and I focus on helping students improve their results using effective exam strategies and smart study techniques. Having gone through the system myself, I’m very familiar with the syllabus and what examiners are looking for, so I teach students how to approach questions efficiently, avoid common mistakes, and maximise their marks.
My teaching style is patient and structured. I break down concepts into simple steps to make sure students truly understand the “why” before moving on to application. I place a strong emphasis on exam-style practice, guiding students through common question types and sharing tips and shortcuts that can help them solve questions faster and more accurately. The goal is to help students work smart, not just hard.
Each lesson is typically 2 hours and conducted online. A lesson usually includes going through key concepts, followed by guided practice, and then independent questions where I can assess the student’s understanding and give targeted feedback. I tailor my lessons based on each student’s needs, whether they need to strengthen their foundation or aim for higher-level questions.
I teach Mathematics and Science for primary and secondary school students, and I aim to not only improve their grades but also build their confidence and make the subjects feel more manageable over time.
