About Will
I'm a mechanical engineer with a love for math and logic. Some of my other hobbies include camping, hiking, and running marathons. By far, one of the most rewarding things for me is being able to help others both enjoy learning and succeed at it. I'm convinced that the more you have to struggle with something to learn it, the better you will understand it. This was the case for me as I prepared to take the ACT in high school. The first time I took it, I got a 28, but I worked hard using some of the techniques I will use to help you and was able to score a 34 on my second attempt.

Who I Work With: Undergraduate students studying engineering, undergraduate students with lower and upper level math coursework, and high schoolers having difficulty with math. Methods: I like to teach by showing diagrams or other visual illustrations of concepts to help those who learn visually. Specializations: I have ADD/ADHD, so I understand how to teach concepts in a structured/intuitive for easy understanding. Lesson Plan: I typically introduce topics by giving an application for the topic to help contextualize. Then, I will work through problems, explaining "why" we solve problems a certain way. At the end, we will wrap up with a challenge problem to test your understanding of concepts covered (if needed I will provide a custom worksheet with a key to help solidify concepts).
