About Snigdha

Hello! My name is Snigdha Yerra. I have three younger siblings, two in 6th grade and one in 10th so I'm always helping them with all their homework. I also tutor other students at a middle school, so it's not my first time working with kids. I always love to connect with my students and make them feel safe around me to ask questions, but mostly I feel happy when my students achieve their goals, as I take their goals very personally to help them achieve them. My teaching style strongly resembles the style of an older sister, I always love to push my students to try their best and give them tips and advice when they are struggling. I strongly believe in the quote "If you believe you can, you're halfway there!"

About the lesson

- The lessons are for kids that are in elementary, middle, or high school. Highest level of math I can teach is Calculus 1.
- A typical lesson plan would include: identifying where the student is struggling, teaching the concept clearly, and then doing many practice problems to build confidence.
-Some of my teaching methods include: motivating kids to be excited about learning, making sure they understand what is being taught before we move on to the next topic, and creating a safe environment where they feel safe to ask questions.
- I am a young tutor, meaning I am able to understand my students because we are in the same generation and have been exposed to the newer techniques of teaching.
- I have experience teaching my younger siblings, and I also volunteer as a student tutor for kids in middle school.
- I aim to work with students so they can understand difficult concepts by identifying the problem, and taking a step by step approach to success! I believe in practice can make anyone perfect.
