About Ammara
Hi, I’m Ammara! I’m a third-year student at the University of Auckland studying Commerce and Computer Science, and I really enjoy helping students build confidence in math. I know firsthand how much of a difference the right support can make, as I’ve been tutored myself for years, so I try to make my lessons clear, relaxed, and easy to follow. I’m patient and approachable, and I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable asking questions and working through things at your own pace. My goal isn’t just to help you get the right answers, but to make sure you actually understand the concepts and feel confident tackling problems on your own

I take a student-focused, adaptable approach to tutoring, tailoring each lesson to the individual’s needs and current schoolwork. I focus on breaking down concepts into simple steps, working through problem areas, and building confidence through guided practice and exam-style questions.
Lessons are typically 1–2 hours, depending on the student and time of year, with more intensive sessions during exam periods. While I do not hold formal tutoring qualifications, I bring strong insight from years of being tutored myself, along with solid analytical and problem-solving skills from my studies in Commerce and Computer Science at the University of Auckland.
I offer math tutoring up to NCEA Level 2, suitable for primary through high school students who want to strengthen their understanding and improve their performance.
